Worker Dies After Electrocution Near Għajn Tuffieħa
A 41-year-old man from Żebbuġ has tragically lost his life following an accident in the limits of Għajn Tuffieħa this afternoon.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm in Triq il-Palma, when the man reportedly was electrocuted and fell into a trench while working.
A medical team and Civil Protection officers rushed to the scene, and the victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Sadly, he was certified dead shortly after.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has launched an inquiry, while police investigations together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority remain ongoing.
