Xarabank Pulled Off Air After 23 Years

Xarabank, the prime time show panel show airing every Friday on TVM,  has been pulled off the air after 23 years.

In a statement, host and presenter Peppi Azzopardi thanked the scores of people who formed part of the show’s team, the “hundreds” of people who appeared on the show, and the thousands of people who would view it religiously.

“Xarabank was never found guilty of imbalance, collected millions of Euro for philanthropic purposed and won numerous honours and all the awards on television,” Azzopardi said in a statement.

The show remained one of the most popular shows on Maltese television, oftentimes leading to widespread discussions on key social issues over two decades.
