Earlier this week, a public sculpture was unveiled in front of Parliament, by Gerald Moroder, made of the remnants of the Capaci massacre that happened 31 years ago.
“We have just unveiled an art piece by the Italian artist Gerald Moroder, made from the remnants of the Capaci massacre, where 31 years ago the mafia killed Magistrate Giovanni Falcone, his wife, and the police escort,” Repubblika President Robert Aquilina said on social media.
“We are doing this as part of the activities for the sixth anniversary of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, in collaboration with the Fondazione Falcone, the Province of Bolzano, and the Municipality of Ortisei.”
Throughout the days leading up to 16th October, an extensive programme of events will be executed, including an art exhibition, various discussions, and memorials.
