‘You Are Beautiful’: PL Politicians Praise Miss Universe Malta Beatrice Njoya

Beatrice Njoya’s Miss Universe Malta victory has triggered public discussion and two PL politicians have now stood up for the 39-year-old model.
“Speaking of defying stereotypes, well done Beatrice Njoya, 39 year old single mum of 3 kids and a domestic violence survivor,” PL President Ramona Attard said.
Claudette Abela Baldacchino, who was a PL MEP candidate at the last election, described Beatrice as a “true inspiration”.
“Thank you for standing out, for breaking the dominant discourse, for your resilience. You are beautiful inside out and I admire you,” she said.
“It is an honour for me that you will be representing me, a Maltese citizen for the challenge ahead. I am sure you will do us proud as much as our foreign football players do us proud playing with our national and other local football teams.”
Beatrice will represent Malta in Mexico this November at the 73rd Miss Universe competition. The model, who was born in Cameroon, is the oldest contestant in Miss Universe’s history, and was allowed to contest after the beauty pageant removed the age limit for contestants last year.
Congratulations Beatrice!
