‘You Betrayed The Maltese’ – Adrian Delia Sends Scathing Message To Prime Minister
With a hand pointing at Castille and thousands of protestors in front of him, Adrian Delia accused Prime Minister Robert Abela and his government of betraying the Maltese public.
“For the first time in Malta’s history, the highest court has turned on the government and told them that they failed and betrayed the Maltese public,” Delia said.
He read out quotes from a damning Court of Appeal judgement which found collusion between high-ranking government members and Vitals and Steward, who were given three hospitals on a long-term concession.
“The timeline itself shows they never wanted to implement the project and give us three state-of-the-art hospitals because they had already secretly agreed to give privileged information to Vitals in an irregular, abusive and illegal manner,” he said.
“However, hearing Robert Abela talk in Parliament one would imagine it was a victory for him and that he brought the hospitals back himself. Surreal.”

He rubbished Abela’s insistence that the government is trying to recover money from Steward in an international court.
“Robert Abela, you did nothing until it was obvious that the deception and crime in the highest government institutions and agencies had been exposed,” he said.
“Rather than coming to Parliament and admitting blame and regret and saying he was caught, rather than showing a little bit of remorse for the people who paid millions of euro and were left waiting years for appointments and begging for treatments and medicines, Abela kept laughing and lying to the people.”
