Hundreds of tributes have poured in after a double stabbing in residential areas of London led to the death of two 16-year-old boys, Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke.

Bartolo’s family, friends and loved ones were heartbroken by the senseless death, with one person close to Bartolo, Charlotte Carter, sharing emotional montages of the pair alongside her personal comments.

“Rip my beautiful boy. Forever and always will be missed. Love you more than anything I still can’t believe it. Until we meet again my lover.”

“It’s 5:35 and I’m sitting waiting for a message from you snuggling your jumper.”

Others shared their tributes under the Tiktok tribute to Charlie.

“This guy didn’t deserve this at all, Char stay strong. I know how close you two were, you both truly loved each other,” said one person in tribute.

“These boys are going too early, RIP bro,” said another friend.

The two boys were killed about one mile apart from each other in Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead and Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, London around 5pm on Saturday afternoon.

The murders have been described as “senseless” by investigators, who are looking for information on a “dark SUV-type vehicle with distinctive silver roof bars seen in the area”.

Both boys were pronounced dead shortly after being found.

Detective Superintendent Richard McDonagh said: “I join the community in being saddened and outraged by these senseless murders.”

“I can assure everybody affected by these murders that skilled detectives will work tirelessly to discover what happened and provide answers to the young victims and families.”
