Young Man Dies Days After Being Hit By A Car That Drove Onto St. Julian’s Promenade

A 25-year-old Dutch man has succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car while walking on the St. Julian’s promenade last Friday.

The car, which was driven by a 20-year-old Maltese man, ploughed through trees before hitting and injuring eight foreigners walking on the pavement.

Tim Scholten received several emergency interventions while at Mater Dei but lost the fight for his life earlier today. His parents, who are currently in Malta, have taken the decision to donate his organs to patients in need.
