A man from Żabbar is at risk of dying after being involved in a collision between a truck and a trailer in Żurrieq.

The incident occurred at around 10.45am, along Triq Ħal Far in Żurrieq.

The MAN trailer was being driven by a 60-year-old resident of Kirkop, while the Bedford truck was being driven by a 66-year-old man from Żabbar.

Upon impact, the truck ended up in a field on the side of the road.

The 66-year-old man was transported to Mater Dei Hospital to receive treatment, where it was certified that he is suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Joseph Mifsud is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
