Żejtun’s Local Council Receives More Complaints From Residents Than Any Town In Malta
Żejtun’s local council could very well be the busiest in Malta, receiving the most complaints from residents out of any town or village in the country.
According to figures published by parliament by Minister Owen Bonnici, Żejtun registered 11,725 complaints from residents between 2017 and 2022.
It scored higher than Malta’s most populous localities, St Paul’s Bay (9,099) and Birkirkara (4,000), and Valletta, the capital city (436).
However, it should be noted that certain localities like Sliema and Ħamrun were unable to provide figures as they were “not quantifiable”.
On the opposite end of the spectrum are San Lawrenz and Mdina, whose local councils registered 29 and 21 complaints respectively.
