Nationalist MEP Metsola Claps Back At Misogynistic Critic

Nationalist MEP Roberta Metsola has shot down a man who wrote a comment on a Times of Malta article, questioning how she can hold down a full-time job while raising four children.

The article was about how Metsola had just been elected as part of a new European Parliament special committee tasked with drawing anti-terrorism legislation.

The committee, composed of 30 MEPs, has been given a year to listen to stakeholders and draft a plan to combat terrorism, with the aim of implementing it into EU law.

However, what was really important to a person calling himself John Zammit was whether Metsola will be able to juggle this new position with her family life.

“Another job that’s a waste of taxpayers money. How is she going to stop terrorism? How can you raise four children and hold down a full-time career? It’s obvious her job is not demanding and was just created to appease political correctness,” he wrote in what became the article’s top comment.

However, Metsola was having none of it and she took to Twitter to give ‘John’ a quick lesson on women.

“Dear John, women are able to raise children and have a career. We’re actually quite capable of doing all sorts of things. Shocking, I know,” she said.
