Critics often accuse Bajd U Bejkin of “punching down.” But let’s be honest — when you’re lampooning one of the most prominent politicians in Europe, that’s punching way up. And as long as everyone is fair game, that’s called comedy.
Yes, some will argue that genocide, dead children, and bombs aren’t subjects for jokes. But that’s exactly what satire has always done: drag the unthinkable into the absurd, hold a mirror to power, and make us laugh at the horror because otherwise… what’s left?
