‘Anti-Snowflakes, Water-Pistol Proof Culture’: Malta’s Boxer-Influencer Beef Just Intensified
Beef has started brewing within Malta’s boxing community… and it only seems to have intensified overnight.
It all started with Bulletproof Culture co-founder Scott Schembri and former Love Island Malta contestant Andriy, who both announced earlier this week that they’d embark on Project 360 – an initiative which would see them “become pro boxers in 360 days”. But while some saw this as an inspirational albeit lofty goal, others – including the likes of local champion Super Steve Martin – have been less supportive.
It might’ve been a misunderstanding, it might’ve been an actual call-out, but by now, it’s all ancient history: fast-forward 24 hours, and Super Steve Martin himself has challenged the two fitness influencers to a fight when their year-long training is over.
Now, some big names in the industry have started giving their two cents on the matter.

“Do you think we can be ready to take a couple of rounds with the guy?” Scott can be heard asking Scott Dixon, a former world boxing champion who has spent nearly a decade training some of Malta’s top boxers… including Steve Martin himself.
“100%,” Dixon replies on the late-night call. “Listen, this guy was fabricated by me. I got him winnable fights. He’s not a high-level. The Maltese media proclaims him to be this real world champion. That’s bullshit.”
Fellow fighter Stephen Cooke wasn’t as hopeful, telling the boys that while “all these fights have been planned for him” and “he’s never gone abroad and won anything”, he did acknowledge the fact that Steve Martin definitely knows how to fight.
All of this of course triggered a response from Martin last night, who published conversations with Dixon showing how the former champion tried to explain “this is all content from the boys” and that “this is a show, you fight these boys and you get mega pay days”. And then, one last update, from the gym, along with his squad, or rather, the “water pistolproof anti snowflakes culture”.
