‘It Breaks My Heart’: Kyra’s Mum Claps Back At Haters

Love Island’s Kyra has been facing quite the online criticism and her mother has put her foot down, posting her opinion on the backlash to Facebook.
Claudia Pecorella addressed the drama circulating her daughter by saying “it breaks my heart to see the hate she’s receiving online.” She also pointed out some of Kyra’s fake friends “to those so-called “friends” from school who think they know Kyra—if you really knew her, you’d be lifting her up, not tearing her down.”
Love Islander Kyra’s mother spoke out about the situation between her daughter and Jake, clarifying several misconceptions. She emphasised that Kyra is an independent girl who knows what she wants. Her mother explained, “What may have been misinterpreted is that she was mean to Jake or that she didn’t take his feelings into consideration. This is in fact not the case.” Claudia explained that Kyra tried to get to know Jake but realised it wasn’t what she was looking for and communicated this to him before moving on.
Backing up the moment where Kyra told Jake to leave her and Kyonne alone to speak in an episode earlier this week, she explained that the continued hopefulness from Jake and his lack of giving Kyra space led to her making the comment, going as so far as to call him clingy.
“We only get to see 45-60 minutes of 24- 48hrs worth of filming inside the villa filled with 10-12 people, and of course, it’s the most dramatic moments that make the cut.”
In an earlier status posted on Sunday Claudia also expressed, “I can’t imagine what you are going through in the Love Island villa”. She continued by saying “I’m happy that you moved away from Jake even though he still tries to cling his way.” Closing off her post with, “enjoy yourself, be yourself.”
