Having just run a piece about how medical cannabis is just months away from being licensed in Malta, we braced ourselves for the inevitable variety of reactions it would get. However, what we woke up to today was quite the pleasant surprise, albeit still having a couple of extremely predictable (and hilarious) one-offs. Here’s a rundown of some of the highlights:

1. Most people were genuinely happy and proud of Malta

2. Others commented about how it actually took us very long to get here…

3. There were of course those who took a more realistic (pessimistic) outlook on the matter 

4. Some people were already looking forward to the next step…

5. And of course, the inevitable Bob Marley reference had to show up somewhere

6. But there was always going to be at least a couple of jokes stating the obvious
