‘Unlikely’: ChatGPT Can’t Seem To Name A Single Week When Malta Didn’t Have At Least One Scandal
They say truth is stranger than fiction, and it might sometimes feel like that when trying to keep track of all the scandals which have recently been making Maltese headlines. But don’t worry if you feel like you can’t keep up – it looks like Artificial Intelligence can’t either.
This morning, popular local Instagram architecture-turned-social-commentary page Limestone Jungle shared a ChatGPT answer to a very simple question: “Can you name a week in Malta when there was not a scandal?”, going on to give it the parameters and definition of a scandal, just to be on the safe side. The answer? Worrying, to say the least.
“It’s challenging to pinpoint a specific week in Malta that hasn’t had some form of scandal, particularly in recent years,” AI answered. “While it’s theoretically possible there could have been a quiet week, the continuous cycle of scrutiny, media coverage, and public discourse around governance and corruption makes it unlikely that a significant period passes without some sort of scandal being reported or discussed.”
