Andrew and Colerio, the hilarious duo from Maltese mokumentary il-Kunsill Lokali, are back. Now, they’re brainstorming ways to get people back to church, with suggestions ranging from turning it into a musical to adding a bit of showmanship to the gospel reading.
Their grand genius idea? Replace the old man with a sexy woman with nipple tassels reading the gospel. Or garlic bread hosts. Maybe with a bit of melted cheese. After all, “who wouldn’t want garlic bread hosts?”

That’s just a taste of one of the discussions that seems to be going down in Episode 2 of Il-Kunsill Lokali, Malta’s very own take on The Office.
The dysfunctional local council returns this tomorrow, Friday 7th March, with a screening of Episode 2 at Soho, The Strand, Gżira.
The event will feature a Q&A with the cast, a raffle, and bonus screenings of two comedy shorts of Final Hours and Garlic Sauce.
One can only hope there will also be garlic bread and melted cheese up on offer too. The hosts? Probably optional.
