Bay Street Restaurant Planet Hollywood Malta Shuts Down
Planet Hollywood Malta has announced it is shutting down, less than five years after it opened its doors.
“With a heavy heart, we officially closed our doors in Bay Street Shopping Complex, on January 1st,” the restaurant said.
“Grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the joy shared around our tables. Thank you for being part of our culinary journey. You’ve made our restaurant a cherished chapter in our story. Farewell, dear patrons, for now.”
The Maltese outlet of the Hollywood-themed restaurant chain opened its doors in 2019 with a bang, inviting Game of Thrones actors John Bradley and Pilot Asbaek to its launch.
Their previous promo campaigns included offering free meals to people vaccinated against COVID-19, and taking marketing advantage of a heatwave by allowing diners to deduct their temperature from their final bill.
