A local cafe turned 12 yesterday, and to celebrate the special anniversary, the team prepared free meals for patients, parents, nurses, and doctors at Rainbow Ward.

“It’s a special day at Fifteen37 Café. Today, we’re celebrating our 12th year anniversary, and we wanted to mark this occasion with a gesture of kindness,” the team wrote on social media.

“In honor of this milestone, we’ve prepared free meals for all patients, parents, nurses, and doctors at Rainbow Ward.”

This Rainbow Ward is a Paediatric Oncology ward in Mater Dei that children stay in while receiving cancer treatment. Over the years, Puttinu Cares has worked to transform the ward into one that’s more welcoming and comfortable for its young patients.

“We believe in giving back to the wonderful community that has supported us throughout these years.”

“Antoine Magri,” the owner of the Ta’ Xbiex café, “blessed this day by offering food for lunch to all the children, parents, and staff at the Rainbow ward,” Puttinu Cares wrote on Facebook.

“We got to know Antoine together with his wife Solange Magri when they had their baby Juan taking care in the ward. They remained volunteers with Puttinu until today. Thank you for this beautiful gesture Antoine, we appreciate your big heart.”
