Green Delivery: 9 Awesome Vegan-Friendly Restaurants To Order Food From In Malta

Article Featured Image

With veganism on the rise, many Maltese restaurants have started to introduce vegan menu items.

Although Malta is slightly behind on veganism when compared to some other countries like the UK, there’s still plenty of vegan food to enjoy, some with not too expensive prices.

Here is a list of some of the best vegan-friendly restaurants to order food from in Malta:

1. BRUVV

If you’re looking for a vegan ‘ħobża biż-żejt’, or a salad which tastes like heaven, this is the place for you. The food is fresh and homemade. It has a huge vegan menu that carries various salads, wraps, ftiras and more.

2. Yufu Chinese

Yufu is not only one of the best Chinese restaurants on the island, but it’s also the only Chinese restaurant that has certified vegan options. If I had a penny for every time I ordered the Sweet and Sour Tofu, I’d be a billionaire – trust me, you will not be disappointed.

3. Balance Bowl

This restaurant is FULLY plant-based. Every single item on their menu is vegan, however, everyone can enjoy their appetising food. Balance Bowl also offers meal plans, and is constantly adding new food items.

4. Marrobbio

If you’re planning on having a movie and pizza night with your friends but cannot find a place which offers both vegan and non-vegan pizza, Marrobbio’s got you covered.

My favourite of theirs is the ‘Veggy Vegan’, which is topped with a purple cabbage pesto sauce, vegan mozzarella, sweet and sour onions, and potatoes. It also offers a few vegan pasta dishes.

5. Sako Sushi

Sushi is always a good idea, however, it can be difficult trying to find good vegan sushi, in Malta. This Asian fusion restaurant has a few good rolls, with relatively cheap prices.

6. The Tiffin Box

You can never go wrong with Indian food. The Tiffin Box carries Indian inspired fusion food, with lots of vegan curries, and ‘comfort food full of flavour’. When it comes to Indian food, happiness is just a spoonful away!

Bonus: Burger King

It’s hard to refuse their plant-based nuggets and a large size fries, especially after a night out or during a hangover.
