Iconic Briju To Close Its Doors After Years Of ‘Unforgettable Meals’

Michelin-recommended Briju will be closing the doors of its iconic Gzira restaurant known for fresh ingredients and innovative flavours.

“After years of unforgettable meals and moments, we’re closing our doors for good. We’re so thankful to everyone who’s dined with us, supported us, and been part of our journey,” a heartfelt social media post reads.

While the closure is permanent, the post did tease that this is not the end for Briju, owned by renowned chef Rafel Sammut.

“But this isn’t the end… 2025 marks a new chapter for Briju! Our team is growing, and we’re strengthening our structure to bring you even better experiences.”

“Big things are coming,” they teased.

In the meantime, Briju hosts events at Maria Rosa where you can eat the exquisite dishes while being surrounded by nature and stunning outdoor spaces.
