The New 'Ħobż tal-Malti' Ice Cream is an Absolute Must-Try

We promise it tastes way better than it sounds

Looking out over St. Anne's Square, Pjazza Gelateria's integration of Maltese treats into ice cream flavours is the perfect combination of crazy, and genius.

The Ħobż tal-Malti* flavour (which has just the right level of sweet, with a salty kick) was their original crowd pleaser, but as of yesterday they also serve Imqaret* ice cream. Having tried both of them (because having just one scoop is for squares), Ħobż tal-Malti is the tastier and more exciting of the two.

A small cup costs €2, so it's not the cheapest ice cream out there; but with flavours this interesting it's definitely worth checking out.

*Ħobż tal-Malti is traditional Maltese bread, while Imqaret are deep fried pastries stuffed with dates.
