Behind The Brands – AMSM Opens Its Doors To Family And Friends

AMSM’s Family Open Day welcomed employees and their family and friends for a behind-the-scenes experience of the Company, giving them the opportunity to share their work environment with loved ones and a glimpse into the operations that support some of Malta’s most iconic brands.

The day included a short bus tour of the premises, guided walkthroughs of temperature-controlled warehouses and offices, product tastings and a relaxed lunch in the canteen.

AMSM represents a portfolio of globally recognised brands – Cadbury, McCain, Elite, Rio Mare, Dujardin, Frisian Flag, Kerrygold, Lorenz, Zott and GO&FUN, to name a few. It’s the people behind the Company who bring these brands to life on local supermarket shelves.

The day was a reflection of AMSM’s culture, one which is built on values of hard work, honesty, respect and loyalty. These principles have guided the Company since 1915, when Alfred Mizzi, a principled entrepreneur who started out as a commission agent, began selling imported goods from his townhouse in Zachary Street, Valletta.

Known for his integrity and sense of fairness, Alfred laid the foundation for what would become AMSM, which forms part of the Alfred Mizzi & Sons Group. Today, those same values continue to shape AMSM and its people.

AMSM’s Family Open Day offered a meaningful opportunity for employees to share their workplace with those closest to them, while reflecting on the Company’s rich history. The event highlighted the pride employees take in their roles and gave family and friends a firsthand look at AMSM’s dynamic operations and its contribution to Malta’s consumer landscape.
