Christmas Markets, A Food Hall And Daily Prizes: Sliema’s Plaza Just Got A Massive Revamp
We’ve always liked The Plaza, but now it’s that much better. Gone are the days where you think of it as any other regular shopping mall, they’ve been working round the clock to make it bigger and better just in time for Christmas.
And it’s clearly worked.
They’re making it rain with daily prizes
They’re clearly feeling as generous as Oprah because for every 10 you spend from now until Christmas, you’ll get a code which you must enter on their site, then you’ll get the chance to win some free vouchers (they’re giving away thousands worth from various restaurants and brands)!

Can we talk about their Christmas Revamp?
The team at The Plaza have really gone all out to ensure that shoppers leave with a second to none Christmas experience (including a really fantastic Xmas market which is stocked with plenty of Artisanal goodies).
These will be dished out on weekends and Public Holidays till Xmas (no strings attached).
Kids will be able to meet Santa and even have the opportunity to take a free snap with him. Not only that, but performers will roam around to entertain the little ones with face painting, balloon modelling and giveaways (oh to be a kid again)! Not to mention that The Plaza’s anchor tenants have done refurbishments and upgrades for a fresh look, leading up into the New Year.
Ok now for the (most) important bit… let’s talk about their brand spanking new food hall…
The New Plaza Food Hall on Level 0 is what (foodie) dreams are made of.
The food hall introduces Malta to brand new cuisines and flavours such as Po-K, the new Hawaiian eatery which focuses on poke and Machu Picchu, an authentic gourmet Peruvian restaurant (which do a mean ceviche by the way).
Diners have a ton of restaurants to choose from. Just Burgers serving up their juicy meat in a buns, Pizza Factory & The Hot Sausage Company, curries and Indian street food from The Tiffin box, a dedicated ice creamery from Tex Mex (with an ice cream machine from Milan) and a new Chinese restaurant which opens next year.
As we previously said, they’ve worked really hard to make the mall the best it could be. An example of this is the multiple refurbishments throughout the outlets and the entrances.
