Malta continues to make strides in the quest to legalise recreational cannabis and the conversation is now taking centre stage with the launch of this locally-hosted cannabis conference.

Rolling Into The Future will explore what it’s like being a recreational cannabis user in the European Union, from the abrasive laws people face to the best cannabis policies governments can adopt for the future.

It’s the open forum for activists, NGOs, politicians, academics, journalists and users to come together to discuss and debate the recreational use of cannabis, and it’s being led by none other than Maltese MEP Cyrus Engerer along with the European Coalition for Justice and Effective Drug Policies.

Rolling Into The Future will take place on 19th April, one day before the highly-celebrated 4/20, and will be streamed online on Lovin Malta’s Facebook page at 10:30 AM CEST, meaning you can watch it wherever you are in the world.

And if you’re at all interested in the legalisation of recreational cannabis, you definitely want to tune in.

What’s it like to be a recreational cannabis user across Europe?

That and many other questions will be answered at Rolling Into The Future.

The conference will include discussions driven by experts in the field including world-famous reporter Peter Sarosi, drug policy academic Dr. Costanza Sanchez and Pien Metaal from the Transnational Institute – one of Europe’s leading institutions devoted to creating a more just and sustainable world. The discussion will see international contributors from the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, and Italy sharing the rules and regulations imposed on recreational cannabis use in their respective member states.

One major talking point at Rolling Into The Future is policy including how current prohibitions are effectively detrimental to society and how policies can be formulated to respect the rights of cannabis users.

It’s time to flip the switch on society’s perception of cannabis use and take real strides to implement sustainable recreational cannabis policies for a healthier society.

With Malta well underway to reforming its laws surrounding the recreational use of cannabis, Rolling Into The Future is the perfect environment to educate and set the tone for what can be expected.

Through discussion and debate, Rolling Into The Future will help inspire more European countries to legalise recreational cannabis.

And you can be part of that movement by tuning in on 19th April.
