Picture this: you’re sitting on a beach in Cuba, lapping up the Caribbean sun, when a traditional Cuban band shows up and throws an unforgettable performance you’ll cherish forever. If you’ve been to Cuba before, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’ve never been halfway across the world, you might not need to anymore.
This December, a Cuban fiesta is coming to Malta
Habana Social Club‘s globe-trotting performances are always a sight to behold, and the band’s world tour will finally be adding Malta to their list to close off the year in style with Fiesta Cubana on December 8th.
A special program has been set up to give locals a real Caribbean experience, with world-famous Tropicana Club solo dancers also joining the travelling troupe.
A worthy successor to the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, the Habana Social Club has captured the hearts of way more than just the Cuban and Latin American press.
After The Buena Vista Social Club entertained its audience during the aptly-named Adios Tour in 2014, Habana Social Club’s popularity rose, especially thanks to their experience. The 11-member band has among its founders more than half a century’s worth of history, with the young virtuoso musicians and alike being showered by decades of acclaim.
“The Cuban people’s life, destiny and memories are associated with a song that is about everybody in the world, without exception everyone can feel our sorrow and happiness,” the band’s Clemente Hechevarria and Rubén Gonzalez explained. “This musical heritage requires a great humility and responsibility from us, from performers.
The concert has some special surprises in store for attendees.
Besides the popular hits of the band itself, the night promises acoustic renditions of many Latin American world musicians, along with some of the biggest tracks from Cuba like Flor palida, Chan – Chan, Bailando, Vivir Mi Vida, Che commandoante, Guantanamera, Caballo Viejo, Represent Cuba, and Se que te amo, which Ricky Martin himself had also covered.
From authentic scenery to the popular dancers of the Tropicana Club, the night is set to be a colourful extravaganza straight out of Cuba. If you’re planning on heading to Aria this December, then we wouldn’t recommend leaving it for too late – get your tickets right here, right now!
If this sounds like your steaming cup of tea, then how about a pair of free tickets?
If there’s only thing that’s better than heading to Fiesta Cubana, it’s heading there for absolutely free.
All you have to do is tag someone you’d love to experience a night of Cuban delight with, and you’ll be in with a chance of winning two tickets to the event!
