Here Are 9 Awesome Things Costa Coffee Is Doing To Mark Its Fifth Year In Malta

This is Costa Coffee’s fifth year in Malta and what a caffeine-rush it has been! It was back in the summer of 2012 that Costa Coffee opened its first outlet in Malta. Starting from the airport, the past five years have seen the international coffee chain spread all over the island with outlets in Balzan, Marsaxlokk, Valletta, Sliema and St Julian’s.

Now, it’s time to celebrate the past five years of glowing success with a few awesome activities for all the family. Diaries at the ready, here are nine ways Costa Coffee is going to be spoiling us in the first week of October.

1. A free mini-breakfast to start your day (for five whole days!)

As a way of saying thank you to its loyal customers, Costa Coffee is offering visitors a free espresso and delicious mini-muffins to anybody who visits the Balzan, Spinola, The Point, Marsaxlokk, Baystreet or Valletta outlets  before 10am between 1st – 5th October. How’s that for a perfect wake-up call?

2. For five days, 5% of every Costa menu drink purchased will go to the awesome Costa Foundation

The Costa Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children in coffee-growing communities through quality education. This includes building new schools, furnishing buildings, investing in water supplies, providing electricity and computers, developing land for families to grow crops, and building teacher accommodation. The Costa Foundation has built 551 classrooms in 9 countries giving 72 coffee growing communities access to education.

3. Costa’s management team in Malta will be helping Noah’s Ark

October 1st marks the first of five days of events in celebration of Costa’s birthday! It’s also World Coffee Day so it’s double celebrations. The management team will be heading to Noah’s Ark to walk the dogs and raise awareness about the charity. And if you’re a dog lover, don’t forget Costa outlets are pet friendly, so you don’t need to leave them behind.

4. Quick table-classes to help you understand your coffee

In celebration of World Coffee Day on October 1st, look out for Costa staff because they could be coming to your table to teach you everything you need to know about what you’re drinking and why you’re drinking it. If no one shows up at your table to give you a table-class, feel free to ask any member of the staff to help you with any coffee questions you might have, not just on World Coffee Day, all year round.
