Gozitan Pizzas And Cruise Views: This Fan Favourite Is Opening At The Waterfront
After months of closed doors and shutters, Malta and Gozo’s restaurants are welcoming foodies and families again, serving up to 280 pizzas every hour. Here’s some more good news, a new eatery serving up iconic Gozitan dishes has opened in the picturesque waterfront of Valletta!
Il-Forn Ta’ L-Għawdxi has opened up for in-dining in the heart of the capital.
You’ve probably already sunken your teeth into their delectable wood oven pizzas and ftiras, by getting takeout or delivery from their joints in Qormi and Gzira. Now, you can take a seat for a family feast, work lunch or a night out with your mates for a gorgeously authentic menu in Valletta.
Their pizza’s and ftira’s are baked in an incredible 3-ton oven that travelled over 4,000 KM to Malta from Turkey and took 400 man-hours to set up, so spread the word! Impressive.
Besides their locally famous staples, Il-Forn Ta’ L-Ghawdxi’s new menu boasts a stellar variety of options, so there’s definitely something for everyone.
Besides their classic, fully-loaded ftiras and pizzas made from scratch, to new, distinct pasta dishes, soups, hearty burgers, they’ve also got an ample selection of genuine nibbles to start off your meal.
If you are into sharing, IL-Forn Ta’ L-Għawdxi’s big platters are a great (and tasty, obviously) option. Also, don’t worry if you are vegan, they’ve got you covered there.
And those of you with kids, don’t worry, they’ve got a dedicated menu for them too!
Beyond the main attraction, i.e. the great food, we need to talk about the actual place.
IL-Forn Ta’ L-Għawdxi on the Waterfront is freshly refurbished with indoor and outdoor seating, meaning you can choose where to plant yourself for a feast whatever the weather.
If the weather is good though, we totally suggest snagging an outdoor table to bank on those idyllic views of the three cities (and the odd cruise ship or two).
The restaurant itself has just opened a week ago, so make sure to book a table soon to be one of the first to experience their curated menu of Gozitan delights…and what’s more!?
They accept government vouchers too! So get your hands on your vouchers and head down to the Valletta Waterfront for some deserving indulgence with family and friends…
Feed yourself patriotically and book a table at IL-Forn Ta’ L-Għawdxi now – they’re open every day from 11am until late.
Bon Appetit!
