Novi Burger have teamed up with flavoursome sauce masters Ferment Island to make a special Novi Competition sauce for a hot-wings challenge that’ll kick your taste buds into touch.
It’s the hottest sauce in Malta: you’ll swear it’s as hot as the sun! Do you dare to try?
To win a Novi Challenge prize you simply need to eat 8 wings and then relax in the ‘afterglow’ for at least ten minutes without drinking (although we recommend having a glass of emergency milk and a team of fire-fighters to hand, in case you need to call it quits.)

Round one is the Diablo, made with Ghost Peppers which have a Scoville rating of 800,000 (a definitive measurement of the active ingredient capsaicin). They’re the spiciest pepper found naturally: the Jalapeño has a mere Scoville rating of 5,000, and the notorious Habanero is 450,000 so the Diablo has twice as much power.
That’s hot; unquestionably hot.
