It’s an annual event bringing Malta’s top CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, advisors and government leaders together to discuss foreign investment, business and technology.

But this year, the EY Malta Attractiveness event is taking things to a whole new level with a keynote speech by world-renowned journalist John Simpson, the BBC World Affairs Editor.

Simpson has spent 50 years working with the BBC, reporting from over 120 countries and more than 30 war zones. He has also interviewed several prominent world leaders including Nelson Mandela, Margaret Thatcher, Vladimir Putin and Gaddafi.

This year marks the 15th edition of the annual appointment organised by EY Malta, and it promises to be a day full of ideas and nurturing innovation.

This year’s theme is NextWave, aiming to explore the limitless opportunities for businesses to do things differently here in Malta, and on the global stage.

Over 1,000 attendees will get to listen to 50 speakers from all walks of life, business and the public sector.

Among the speakers will be Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Leader of the Opposition Adrian Delia, as well as guest speakers from EY Global such as Christopher Schmitz – EY FinTech Leader, Former Polish Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki and many more.

The results of the EY Malta Attractiveness Survey, an annual study conducted among existing FDI (foreign direct investment) companies in Malta, will also be unveiled.

Having now become the national benchmark on foreign direct investment, the survey presents the most up to date and accurate analysis of current investors views on the country’s present and future attractiveness.
