Local Company Donated A PV System To MSPCA And Spent A Day Volunteering At The Shelter
Bajada New Energy Ltd, a local leader in services related to renewable energy products, has taken Corporate Social Responsibility to a whole new level this Christmas by donating a new PV system to Malta’s branch of the SPCA (MSPCA).
This NGO works tirelessly all year round to provide adequate care and love to stray cats and dogs around the island, providing shelter and food and offering the public to adopt a furry little family member.
The local energy and power leader installed Malta’s first-ever solar panel during the late 80s and has since become synonymous with sustainable energy and reducing the impact on the environment, all while committing to give back to the communities it operates within. It was also awarded SME of the Year in 2022.
This recent and generous donation is set to make life at the shelter easier for volunteers, as the new PV system will cover the energy supply for several years without the burden of electricity bills. In other words, the MSPCA has one less expense off their shoulders thanks to this self-sustainable gift.

Bajada New Energy went a step further in extending a helping hand this Christmas by volunteering for a whole day at the MSPCA shelter in Floriana and were not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Around 30 employees spent a day helping other volunteers carry out maintenance work such as plumbing, waterproofing, plastering and painting to help make the space safer and up to standard for the rest of the winter.
They were also in for a treat as they helped with walking the dogs currently under the MSPCA’s protection, cleaning the animals and their spaces and giving them some much-needed TLC.
The MSPCA is constantly offering the public the chance to volunteer with them for a day to help with the care and maintenance of the strays currently under its protection, so if you’re looking for something different for your team-building event or day out with the family, this is something to consider!
