MedFest will see eight entrepreneurs and innovators (four from Malta and four from Sicily) will face-off in a live pitching session in an attempt to win over investors and get their idea off the ground.
MedFest is being organised by TAKEOFF and I-KNOW
It’s a joint venture between Malta and Italy that aims at setting up a permanent hub to encourage the creation and strengthening of micro, small and medium enterprises, providing them with faster access to the markets and boosting their competitiveness.
MedFest is based on the extremely successful UK model, VentureFest, which began 21 years ago in Oxford and has now grown to 13 cities. The formula is proven to stimulate investment in innovation, which is why we’re bringing the concept to the Mediterranean through the Italy-Malta I-KNOW project.
