Malta’s Lotto And Quaterno Just Got A Revamp
Probably every person of a certain age in Malta has played the Lotto at least once in their life. It’s a century old tradition and part of the local fibre that exists in every town on the island. The lotto scene has grown quite a bit throughout the ages.
This week as National Lottery plc took over from Maltco, the game of Lotto will
experience a major revamp.
Malta’s Lotto and the Lotto Quaterno game just got better – so here’s what to
expect in one of the most popular classical lottery games available.

Tune in every Tuesday and Saturday to enter the chance of winning various fixed prizes. Pick your favourite numbers from 1 to 90 and your preferred game combinations. Five numbers are drawn live on TV at 8:30pm giving you an opportunity to win depending on your preferences.

Lotto Prize Structure
Prima –> Win €70X the stake when correctly matching the 1st number drawn
Ambo –> Win €250X the stake when correctly matching 2 numbers
Terno –>Win €4,000X the stake when matching 3 numbers
Terno-Ambo –> Win 40% or 60% of the winnings when matching 3 or 2 numbers out of the 5 numbers
National Lottery has introduced a NO CAPPING policy for Lotto, thereby ensuring that players take home 100% of their winnings. Moreover, with a better payout structure and an additional lotto draw every week, trying your luck and winning big has never been easier.
Lotto Quaterno
The new Lotto Quaterno game provides the possibility of winning the fixed mega jackpot of €500,000 per draw. Lotto Quaterno is won when you manage to correctly predict four of the five numbers drawn.
Playing Malta’s most popular Lotto game and selecting Prima, Ambo, Terno or Terno-Ambo game types is super simple. Starting with a minimum stake of €0.50 for all games except Lotto Quaterno is also very affordable.
Each Lotto Quaterno game ticket costs €2 for a chance to win the mega fixed jackpot of €500,000. You can also increase the chance of winning by selecting a full range of 20 numbers or play 60 consecutive draws for convenience with the new Lotto game.
You also have the chance to either select your own numbers or try your luck by generating random numbers, using the Quick Pick feature.
National Lottery will kick off this new age in Malta’s Lotto tomorrow Saturday 9th July at 8.30pm. Tune in to TVM after the evening news and make sure you have your Lotto tickets in hand.
Lottery tickets can be purchased from all National Lottery authorised outlets around Malta and Gozo.
