New Ethereum Mining Computer Touches Down In Malta
MyKrypto, a subsidiary of Maltese tech company 3Group has just launched its latest product – a specially designed desktop computer to mine the cryptocurrency Ethereum. The first of its kind, the 61060 Desktop Windows 10 PC was notably researched and developed in Malta.
MyKrypto promises that PC – which they will install and set up directly at your home – will generate you 0.2772 Ethereum a month, which according to the current market is equivalent to just over €87.
The machine is being sold for €3,675 excluding VAT, which means that purchases can expect to start seeing a return on their investment after 42 months – considering, of course, that the value of Ethereum remains stable. The price is over and above the machine’s electricity consummation, which is estimated to cost around €0.59 a day. Other models and rigs are also available.
Its full specifications are as listed below:
Founded in 2016, MyKrytpo became the first company to start selling cryptocurrency mining machines in Malta. Besides the Etheruem mining PC, it also sells Ethereum mining rigs with a hash rate of up to 731.5 Mhash, as well as mining machines for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dashcoin and Siacoin.
“Technically we have the hardware for any coin you can imagine,” CEO Dario Azzopardi said.
In an interview with Lovin Malta last year, Azzopardi said local interest in his machines has been massive and that there are now thousands of Maltese crypto-miners out there.
“At the start, only a few people were interested in it but we’re now importing between ten to thirty machines every week….they’re selling like cheesecakes,” he said.
Since then, the Maltese government has made massive strides to embrace blockchain – the technology that underpins cryptocurrencies. Earlier this year, the government announced plans to become the first country in the world to fully regulate companies which operate on blockchain and to regulate initial coin offerings. Crypto exchange giant Binance has confirmed it plans to relocate to Malta, while other crypto companies have also expressed interest in doing likewise.
