Nothing But Net: It’s Time To Get Your Squad Together And Join This Amateur Basketball League In Malta
Leading a balanced lifestyle is super important, we all know that. But how many of us actually do it? Do you make time for exercise? Socialising? All the while focusing on your mental health, eating well, and contributing to society?
If your answer was ‘yes’ then you’re definitely lying. We don’t have a full solution for you, but we do know how you can hit the ‘exercising’ and ‘socialising’ birds with one stone.
The Future Basketball League (FBL) is an amateur basketball league based in Malta
And they’re looking for teams! Whether you’re a professional athlete, a rookie just getting into the game, or a casual player looking for a fun way to exercise – this might be perfect for you.
The league hosted 7 teams last year, made up of people from different offices, communities and walks of life. So grab your friends, cousins and co-workers, come up with a cool team name and logo, and get ready to shoot some hoops.
The second FBL Malta season is opening on the 21st of September
And you can register your team now to compete for some great prizes. The winning team will win an all day boat trip with Dragut charters for up to 12 players, with a full drink package included. And of course, a trophy and medals to show off and display.
The runner up team will win a full Rodizio dinner in Brasa for up to 12 players, and the season MVP (most valuable player) will win a €150 Amazon gift card.
So if you think you can gather enough troops, be sure to register your team and get training.
The FBL Malta league might be an amateur basketball league, but they take the game very seriously
They want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy the benefits of the team sport; from exercise to socialising, the mental health benefits of exercise and just having a good time overall. It also serves as a great platform for players to get drafted by local teams, so it could catapult you to a professional basketball career.
Anyone can join FBL, as long as you’re over the age of 18 and are ready for some healthy competition.
