We’re heading into the warmer months of the year, and the sunny days and clear skies are the perfect complement to the beauty of the Maltese Islands. The bright blue of our seas and yellow of the sand take centre stage, colourful fireworks decorate the night sky, and our Instagrams are chock-full of endorphin-inducing images.
We trawled through the #LovinMalta tag on Instagram to choose our favourite #RainbowIsland shots, because we’re definitely all about ROYGBIV life.

If all these colours gave you a warm feeling inside your tummy and you want to feast your eyes on loads more, head on down to Valletta Waterfront between Friday 26th and Sunday 28th of April 2019 for the 5th edition of Colour Fest: A Festival of Colour.
A weekend full of family fun, exciting activities, and loads and loads and loads of colour
After last year’s massive success, this year, the 5th edition of Colour Fest promises to be bigger and better.
The event is inspired by the iconic coloured doors of Valletta Waterfront, set on the idyllic backdrop of the Grand Harbour. Now, we may be a little biased but you’ve got to say, it serves as a pretty amazing backdrop to the weekend’s goings-on.
The waterfront will be buzzing with free children’s entertainment, giant interactive games, live music featuring Ben Purplle and Kevin Paul Calleja amoungst others, art and artisan stalls, children reading sessions on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and a roaming illusionist and stilt walkers. Colour Fest promises to be a fun weekend for everyone. And what’s better, is that the event is free for all the family!
So grab your kids, your friends, and everyone in between and get ready for a weekend full of bright colours and great fun.
