This Is Your Chance To Hang Out With Internationally Acclaimed Digital Startups In Malta
An amazing networking opportunity has just presented itself to the Maltese digital industry in the form of a 2-day event featuring some of the best digital startup talent from all over the world. It’s all thanks to the record-breaking Maltese startup called Hotjar – and they are now giving local startups (or aspiring ones) the opportunity to attend.
The event, which is happening over the 11th and 12th of May at Villa Rosa will be seeing a number of renowned speakers take to the stage; including executives that will speak about their experience at prestigious digital companies such as Basecamp, Pipedrive and Spotify. Members of the Hotjar team who work remotely across the globe will also be flying in for this prestigious 2-day event.
Introducing Hotjar
First conceived in 2014 by David Darmanin, a Maltese law graduate in his 30s, Hotjar is showing the world how it’s done as the fastest-growing analytics start-up in the world. A complement to Google Analytics, Hotjar was set up as an all-in-one analytics tool to reveal the online behaviour of a website’s users through a long list of techniques. Basically, while Google Analytics only shows you where your visitors are going on your site, Hotjar actually shows you what they’re doing and thinking.
Just 2 years after it’s official launch, Hotjar is used by 190,434 sites from 190 countries all over the world… including Nintendo, IKEA, Panasonic, Columbia and T-Mobile!
So when a company like Hotjar organizes an awards night, you know it’s going to be something you do not want to miss.
This is Hotjar’s XAwards
The XAwards is a closed event which promises to be a who’s who of the world’s coolest upcoming apps, sites and digital experiences. 640 startup teams from 63 countries have submitted their application, and 10 finalists will be flying in to attend the exclusive event and make their final pitches to the judging panel.
The awesome news is that Hotjar is looking for three Maltese startup teams (or anyone aspiring to build a startup) to also attend the 2 day event and prestigious awards ceremony, which has been dubbed ‘the Oscars for the Best Digital Experiences at the early startup stage.
The 2-day event will culminate in the finalists’ pitches and the awards ceremony where over €30,000 worth of cash prizes will be handed out, followed by an after-party featuring local band The Travellers.
The judges for the night, apart of course from Hotjar’s Founder and CEO David Darmanin, will be the company’s co-founder and director of engineering Marc Von Brockdorff, and Christian Thaler-Wolski, SaaS advisor.
The three chosen Maltese teams will get the networking opportunity of a lifetime, and with this agenda, it’s set to be an unmissable one.
Hotjar will be choosing the three Maltese startups who will be attending the event, and the teams will be contacted before Monday 8th May.
