Finally! Getting A Cab In Malta Just Got A Whole Lot Easier

Article Featured Image

Grabbing a cab in Malta just got ridiculously easier thanks to a new app by Malta’s leading cab company eCABS. The app is the equivalent of Uber, but was specifically designed for the Maltese intricate road network. Here’s what we love about it and why you need to download it right now. PS: If you had the old eCABS app, you’re going to need to click update to enjoy the great benefits of the new app.

So, what’s new about the eCABS app?

1. You can book a cab quicker than ever, without having to speak to anyone

But that’s just the basic point of an app, right? Yes, but let’s appreciate that small victory for what it really means.

2. The app is location intelligent

The app lets you input three preferred addresses which it remembers for future use. Pretty nifty, right? But it also lets you send your exact location or find your destination on a map, making it super easy for you to show where you are without actually having to explain it. In fact, more than 29,000 street names and landmarks have been inputted and are continuously being updated.

3. You can choose your car

The app gives you five options: standard cab, executive cab, standard van, executive van, or if you’re feeling super swanky, the luxury executive cab. They each have different price points, which means you’ll know exactly what you’re paying for and can do all this still without having to speak to anyone at customer care.

4. You can choose the time of pickup

Either ask for a cab to arrive immediately or pre-book one days in advance to make sure you’re not left stranded.

5. You’ll be given the exact price before you book

Nobody likes price surcharge surprises, right?

6. You can pay by debit/credit card

That’s right! If you’ve joined the paperless community that much prefers paying electronically, eCABS has you covered. Just click pay now and you’ll be paying by card the way it should be.

7. But you can still pay cash

After all, cash is still king in Malta and we wouldn’t want that faculty stripped from us the way it would have been with Uber.

8. Account holders are covered too

If you’ve got a business account, all you need to do is insert your PIN number and you’re good to go…

9. You still get normal eCABS benefits

Like an SMS when your cab is almost there or when it actually arrives.

10. Plus, you can rate your driver

A perfect way to keep improving the customer service.
