Lidl Malta embodies the true essence of Christmas by spreading the joy of giving through a series of donations, from food items to toys, to various charitable organisations.

They’re committed to giving back to the community during the festive season with a series of donations to various charitable institutions, including the Malta Food Bank Foundation, Caritas Malta, Dar Merhba Bik, Hospice Malta and six other NGOs working hand-in-hand with children.

Lidl Malta has been a loyal partner to the Malta Food Bank Foundation for many years, and this festive period saw the Company further strengthen its partnership with a substantial donation to the NGO.

Additionally, Lidl Malta supported the Christmas lunch hosted by Caritas Malta for around 500 people, and Dar Merhba Bik for around 60 people. These donations ensured that those in need have the opportunity to enjoy a festive meal.

On Jum L-Impenn the supermarket chain also gifted truffles to all Caritas Malta volunteers, a day dedicated to volunteers who selflessly commit their time to helping others. Chocolate goodies were also contributed towards Hospice Malta’s goodie bags for the patients.

Their charitable initiatives extend beyond food donations, with the Company’s team providing over 260 gifts for the Lidl Malta Wishing Tree Initiative. These gifts go to children benefitting from services or under the care of six different organisations, including the Karl Vella Foundation, Puttinu Cares and the Equal Partners Foundation.

Through the initiative, the gifts are tailored to the specific wishes of the children, ensuring that they receive something that they will truly appreciate.

“We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we operate in,” Marie-Clare Church, Communications & CSR Lidl Malta said.

Lidl Malta is proud to be a responsible corporate citizen and actively engages in initiatives that support the community. The supermarket chain believes in giving back to the society that has helped it achieve its success and encourages its customers and stakeholders to join forces in supporting the community and creating a more inclusive and caring society.
