Unless you’re in the fashion industry, it’s not every day that an office has not only one, but two in-house stylists gracing their presence. We do though. So when Rachel and Kira came back from lunch and raved about this brand spanking new store which just opened in St. Julian’s, I put down my sandwich and took note (they had me at Singapore).
Meet the girls…
Kira‘s been in the fashion game for over a decade. After attending London College of Fashion, she nabbed herself THE internship of all internships at British Vogue and then worked as a Fashion Assistant with LOOK Magazine.
Our Creative Director is slaying!
Rachel packed her bags and moved to Italy (Florence to be exact) to follow her dreams in fashion…but not necessarily as a designer.
Well that obviously worked for her because after completing her studies in Fashion Styling and Communication, she then went on to gain some work experience at Italian Vogue as an art director, creating ad campaigns for big brands like BATA.
Her presence is strong on our creative team.
Now before I digress, let me get back to the point…
Singapore is totally fashion forward, and luckily for us, they’re bringing their creations to our rock. Located at Bay Street, Charles & Keith have a strong element of looking high-end without the high-end prices.
Their pieces are diverse too, so there’s something for everyone. Our (locally and internationally) fashion-trained team members chose their fave pieces from the store and here’s what they swooned over.
Kira: Cognac tote bag, €95
“The perfect day-to-night handbag, big enough to fit in all your everyday essentials and snazzy enough to take out at night – I mean just look at those oversized tassels. The cute little pouch that comes with the bag is perfect to pack all those little bits that tend to get lost.”
Kira: Grommet detail strap bag, €75
Kira tends to wear a lot of black and likes to add a pop of colour with strong statement accessories.
“This Mustard beauty is perfect, it’ll go with everything and pack that colour punch she craves. We love the circle cut-out detail on the strap.”
Charles And Keith are pro at adding beautiful design detail to all their accessories.
Kira: Blade heel booties, €85
“The unique mirrored heel on these modern day disco booties will take any outfit from zero to hero in a flash.
Everyone needs a stand-out shoe for the festive season, and I’ve just found mine!”
Kira: Whipstitch trim ankle boots, €85
Kira’s job involves a lot of running around, and these mock-croc boots will ensure her tootsies are both comfy and smart.
“Pair with jeans and a jumper or tights and a dress; stylish and comfy – that’s what we call a style all-rounder.”
Rachel: Slouchy Shoulder Bag (white), €79
“No need for dreary dark colours; a crisp winter white is perfect for every single day of the week.
First of all, it’s big enough to fit your entire world in, which let’s face it ladies, is needed. Secondly, it’s smooth, sleek, sophisticated and even comes with an extra pouch to keep your stuff organised and accessible.”
Rachel: Bronze blade heel platform, €65
“These party pumps are a festive staple everyone needs in their winter wardrobe. Keep it simple with an all black number and let your shoes do the talking.
A metallic peep-toe will liven up even the most basic white tee and jeans and have you ready to boogie, whatever the occasion.”
Rachel: Necklace, €39
“This necklace is a great statement piece. Perfect for elevating a simple look and standout enough to hold up and sparkle in the evening.
It’s minimal but does the trick, Rachel kind of fell in love! It comes with an understated silver chain, so you can mix and match as you please.”
Rachel: Buckle cross body bag, €89
“This little lilac beauty is just the right size to fit all of your little trinkets for a day out with the fam or a night on the town. This bag fits into any and every situation, so you can’t really go wrong!
Top tip: Christmas is right around the corner, and I know what I’m getting my bestie this year… (I’m actually hinting at my Secret Santa).”
From accessories you can wear to meet the parents to something you can rock at the office, to boozy lunches with the girls, there’s no doubt in my mind that Charles & Keith will be welcomed (and adored) with open arms to Malta.
They’ve got it in the bag!
