Malta’s First Ever Gin Fair Is Coming This Summer With Over 50 Different Ice-Cold G&Ts
Brutal heat comes with the territory of having gorgeous summers like the ones Malta’s graced with on an annual basis. But if there’s one thing as synonymous with summer as the heat (and a great way of beating it), it’s an ice-cold gin and tonic.
If you fancy yourself a sip or two, then you’re going to love Malta’s first ever Gin Fair, landing on the island this July at the glorious five-star hotel, The Phoenicia.
This absolute first comes from Franks Gentlemen’s Essentials, who are the brains behind the much loved Malta Whisky Fair. Franks have roped in all of Malta’s leading suppliers to give gin lovers an opportunity to try a ridiculous amount of gins, tonics and botanicals.
The Gin Fair will be offering up 50 fantastic gins
Yes, you read that right; five zero.
The fair, which is set for Friday the 13th July (all gin lovers’ lucky day), will be bringing together everything from classic brands such as Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray 10 & Hendricks, to interesting oddballs like Monkey 47.
Boutique distilleries like Edinburgh Gin, Cotswolds and The Botanist will also be making an appearance during the Gin Fair. In fact, Franks Gentlemen’s Essentials are making sure they bring gin lovers as much variety as can be found at their Plaza shop. An entire 90% of their massive gin selection will be available on the night… and that’s without mentioning the tonics!

And to bring it all home, the Italian-style gardens will be hosting a live performance by fabulous Maltese outfit Swing Nuages… because of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Maltese summer evening without some good old hip shaking.
If you happen to be a gin lover who also happens to be a football fan, don’t worry; Friday the 13th is actually one of the only football-less days this month, being bang in the middle between the semi-final and the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup!
