Wallets, shopping bags and an eye for deals at the ready, as Malta’s oldest shopping mall, The Plaza, heads in for the Christmas season, and this year it’s sparing no expense; here’s six things to look out for on your next shopping spree!

1. Shop and win every day

Between the 1st and 23rd of December, The Plaza will be announcing four winners every day who will each receive €50 worth of vouchers to spend at its outlets. 

2. Special prizes on Christmas Eve

Stick around long enough and your last-minute shopping on the 24th December could be rewarded with one of three shopping vouchers worth a whopping €1000!

3. Bring your kids along for a sit-in with Santa

Father Christmas himself is set to make an appearance on selected days at the Plaza so be on the lookout for sleigh bells and Santa Claus. 

4. Get a Maltese take on a White Christmas

While we (sadly) never get any snow, The Plaza will be ramping up the Christmas spirit with an in-house snow machine, so be sure to bring your Maltese-themed Christmas sweaters and build your best borrinu. 

5. Live entertainment throughout the holiday season

Catch a live show hosted by local band X-Tend between your spending sprees on selected days at The Plaza, or jam it up with DJ ANT who’ll be doing the rounds at the shopping mall. 

6. You can start winning right now

The Plaza is ready to kick off the season of giving right away: all you have to do is tag a friend and you can both win a €50 voucher each!
