Sportswear Fans In Malta Have An Awesome New Destination To Call Their Own
Fashion is a beautiful, constantly-changing beast, but for millions of fitness freaks around the world, sportswear is more than just the current hot fad. Whether you want to stay on the cutting edge of fashion or are looking to upgrade your workout gear, NIKE is a firm favourite of many people, and Malta’s store just got one big upgrade.
The NIKE Store at Sliema’s The Point shopping complex has a brand new home in the shape of a 350 square metre hub reflecting the brand’s latest concept design.
A glorious mix of wood and metal textures welcomes guests to the store, which has now moved from Level 0 to -2 within the shopping complex. The move has also allowed the NIKE Store to have an ever wider range of men’s and women’s footwear and apparel… perfect for hypebeasts and athletes alike!
NIKE bestsellers, running, training and sportswear products will all be available under one (mega) roof.
“We’re thrilled to be opening up this NIKE Store and bringing the best of NIKE products,” Hudson Retail Director Kevin Grech said. “Through this store, which size and design is at par with NIKE stores found in other European cities, we seek to provide the best of the brand to our customers as well as a unique design and environment. The items available are not just technical in nature, supporting athletes in fulfilling their training duties and sport performance, but the store also presents a vast array of fashion items.”
The first pair of NIKEs sold in Malta was in 1987, and the brand’s popularity – both in Malta and around the world – has only amplified itself since then.
The new store’s opening has perfectly coincided with the Super League Triathlon event coming to Malta
Taking place between the 27th and 28th October, the Super League event will actually be attracting world champion triathletes to the small island of Malta.
Dubbed one of the biggest sporting events of 2018, the racing event is the second leg of a league that kicked off in Jersey. Before continuing to Majorca, Singapore and Australia, the Maltese leg of the Super League Triathlon will see world champions taking to the starting line.
Alistair Brownlee, Ashleigh Gentle, Carolina Routier, Flora Duffy and Henri Schoeman are among some of the superstars who will be participating in the massive event, thrilling local enthusiasts and offering an exhilarating challenge to all participating athletes.
