WATCH: This Balluta Restaurant Is Serving Some Exquisite Mediterranean Cuisine And Introducing Their New Autumn Menu
If you’re looking for somewhere to spend your next date night or are wondering where to take your group or foodie friends next, Taro at The Villa might just be the place for you.
Located in the heart of St. Julian’s in Balluta Bay and built inside a beautifully restored 19th century Palazzo, Taro offers a wide variety of Mediterranean meals that combine contemporary dining and incredible attention to detail.
The restaurant underwent extensive renovation over the summer, and now features state-of-the-art interior design by London-based design studio RPW Design. The food is also served on some very fancy ceramics made by local artist Sue Mifsud Ceramics.
The team is debuting a new menu for the Autumn season this November, reinventing classic dishes such as Lobster tagliolini and introducing instant hits such as Taleggio scarpinocc pasta. Taro will also be one of the first Maltese restaurants to introduce ruby chocolate to its menu; a recently discovered variety of chocolate made from “ruby cocoa beans”.
Lead by Chef de Cuisine Ryan Galea, a team of award-winning chefs work together to provide you with main courses and desserts that will definitely leave you wanting more.
