Ruby Ruby Ruby Rub-ayyy!

Nothing is certain but death, taxes, and that one phase you had in the 00s where you found yourself belting out that Kaiser Chiefs hit once a day for a whole summer.

Now, the time has come for all you Noughties Indie Kids to finally live your best life and sing along to your favourite Kaiser Chiefs hits. The 30th of August is the day to mark down on your calendars, so start getting your wardrobe back in order (and yes, that definitely includes your dancing shoes).

Tickets cost €30 and can be bought from right here… but we’re giving away 3 sets of 3 free tickets!

That’s right; all you have to do is tag two people you’d love to take to the Kaiser Chiefs gig in the comments section, and you could be in with the chance to win three tickets! That’s one for each of you!

Initially formed back in 2000, Leeds-based Kaiser Chiefs have had multiple hits over the last decade and a half.

Inspired by new-wave and punk rock music of the late 1970s and 1980s, the band managed to bring a modern twist to the classic genres. They’re released six original studio albums, but it is their 2005 debut Employment that really stands out.

Indeed, Employment went on to win everything from the NME Award for Best Album, to The Best British Group award at the 2006 Brit Awards. The album was even shortlisted for a Mercury Prize in 2007.

Kaiser Chiefs have released a string of number one hits, most notably Ruby and I Predict A Riot (which endlessly dominated MTV for months). However, there’s a very big chance that you’ve also heard bangers like Everyday I Love You Less and Less, Never Miss A Beat and Oh My God at least a dozen times before.

Opening the night will be local heavy punk rockers BILA will be representing Malta ahead of the Chiefs’ performance.

The Maltese trio have been hitting the island’s eardrums in the best way possible since 2015. Having recently released their 7″ vinyl for the scorching Do What I Want, BILA are set to continue dominating the heavy alternative scene.

For any updates, tickets or more information on the big night, check out the official Facebook event page. In the meantime, this is the perfect time to get hyped.

Don’t forget to tag two friends in the comments section to be in with a chance to win tickets for the three of you!
