Metal Masters Dark Tranquillity And Evergrey Are Coming To Malta, And Here’s How You Can Win Free Tickets
Melodic death metal might sound like an extremely niche genre, but here in Malta, it’s one of the more evergreen genres. And it’s because of this that some of the world’s biggest names have been coming to the islands for the last couple of decades, decimating stages and melting eardrums in style.
To prove all of that, two behemoths will be coming to Malta on the 24th of August for a special double-bill for Scandinavian bone-crunching metal.
Dark Tranquillity and Evergrey, boasting over half a million combined fans on Facebook and way more online, will both be performing at Aria!
Tickets cost €25 and can be bought from right here… but we’re giving away free bundles!
That’s right; all you have to do is tag two people you’d love to take to the gig in the comments section, and you could be in with the chance to win three tickets! That’s one for each of you!
Pioneering Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquility brought their signature sound, what is literally known as the Gothenburg sound, to the world a whole 29 years ago.
A whopping 11 albums and 10 different members later, the Swedish giants have become one of the most celebrated in the world in their scene, with a discography that’s only matched in length by the number of critical acclaim they’ve received.
If you thought that was the end of it, though, you’d be pleased to know we’re only getting started.
Joining the fray on the night will also be Evergrey. Another set of Swedish giants, this time when it comes to progressive power metal, Evergrey also have a blistering 11-album arsenal of songs to throw at the crowd.
Founded all the way back in 1995, the Gothenburg metalheads have released many a concept album, dealing with everything from paranoia and child abuse to cults and alien abduction. With a band like Evergrey, there’s one thing you need to know; nothing is off the table, and a heavy night is guaranteed.
Supporting both acts on the night will be local prog rockers Colourblind, who have themselves been tearing up the local scene since 1998.
