These Companies Are Being Celebrated As Malta’s Top Employers For 2019
Feeling appreciated and involved in the workplace will heavily affect your productivity and overall mood, and that largely comes down to the people you work with and those in charge of you.
Local company Business Leaders Malta, together with their research branch Esprimi, set out to identify Malta’s top Employers of Choice in the most scientific manner possible.
Companies participated in a scientific survey designed by Esprimi building up to an awards ceremony where the Employers of Choice were announced.
Companies were split into two categories; those with up to 149 employees, and those with over 150 employees.
The survey, branded as “Employees’ Voice” involved Malta-based companies.The main objective is to gather employees’ perceptions of their employers and quantify employee attitudes and satisfaction, amongst other factors.
The winners were announced at Business Leaders Malta’s 10th annual conference

Business Leaders Malta handed out the Employees’ Voice Awards at their 10th annual conference themed “Breakthrough”, which took place at the Manoel Theatre in Valletta on Friday, June 14.
And this is when the awards were handed out
Malta Gaming Authority won in the 150+ employee category, and Smart Technologies Ltd. in the under 150 employee category
Several other companies that performed well on the Employees’ Voice survey were also presented with an Employer of Choice Certificate, these included; Konnekt, Izola Bank, Yellow and Cashimo (in the under 150 category) and Vassallo Builders, Atlas Group, Jackpot Joy and Catena Media (in the 150+ category).
The Employee’s Voice program takes place in the form of an online survey and covers eight domains
The survey covers the following domains:
- Communication and Team Cohesiveness
- Corporate Culture
- Employee Wellbeing
- Leadership Effectiveness
- Performance Orientation
- Reward & Recognition
- Training & Development
- Employee Engagement
Employees are presented with several statements for each domain. The results are presented on an online dashboard and allow for comparisons on a year-on-year bases as well as benchmarking against other participating companies.
