Anniversaries and birthdays are always a fun milestone that deserves celebrating, and a staple in power and energy here in Malta, Bajada New Energy, is about to celebrate a big one. They’re turning 30 this year!

Bajada installed Malta’s first ever solar panel back in 1989 and have since then been pioneers in sustainable energy. As a company, they’re committed to reducing their impact on the environment and doing all they can to give back to the local community.

Known back then as Bajada International Solar Systems Ltd, (BISS), Bajada was established in 1989

They began by importing the Edwards brand of solar water heaters from Australia, and eventually expanded their operations to other forms of renewable energy solutions, including photovoltaic panels and wind turbines. They’ve installed over 35 Mega Watts in Photovoltaic Systems (Solar Panels) and over 18,000 Solar Water Heaters and Solar Thermal Systems all over Malta.

Bajada New Energy is dedicated to keeping the environment at the forefront of their business… and their latest initiative proves just that

For every PV/solar panel purchased, they will plant a tree in the name of the customer. They have also prevented over 32 million grams of CO2 emissions by generating over 40 billion units of energy, and have prevented over 46 billion grams of plastic over the past 15 years.

So where’s Bajada New Energy headed next?

“The international market is our next objective,” said owner Mark Bajada. “One of the main things we are going through is having projects outside Malta where we’re investing heavily in generating electricity, or any other type of renewable energy, always as a core business. And doing it at a very fast pace.”

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, they’ve got amazing offers and discounts going on

Check out their showroom over their open weekend between the 14th and 16th of June for some killer discounts. They’re offering a 50% discount on all solar panels and up to €450 off on solar water heaters. Their air conditioning units and water filtration systems will also be heavily discounted over the weekend, so these next couple of days are definitely the best time to update your house game!

They’re also going to be holding some killer giveaways, so keep an eye out on their Facebook page for more updates.

They’re extending their opening hours during the open weekend to give you some extra time to pop in for a visit

On Friday, they’re going to be open practically all day, between 9am and 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday, they’ll be opening at 9am and closing 6pm.
