Since 2016, fitness buffs from Malta and beyond have gathered on the island to take on an intense cross-country obstacle course – The Grid. Growing steadily from an initial 300 to a whopping 5,000 participants, The Grid has quickly become one of Malta’s most anticipated annual fitness events.

This October participants will be able to take part in The Sprint, a mini version of The Grid

But don’t be fooled. Mini doesn’t mean easy. The Sprint is a high-speed race that stretches 6km and will include some of The Grid’s most daunting signature obstacles. Close to 2,000 people have already signed up for the race, which will take place on October 19th.

11 of the 16 waves have already been sold out, so if you want to get your Grid on this October, be sure to sign up soon.

The Grid has become a premier Obstacle Course Race in this part of the world, and really puts Malta on the map

So much so, that The Stars Group, one of the world’s largest gaming companies and owners of huge international brands such as SkyBet, PokerStars and now FoxBet in the U.S., are sending participants from all over the planet to compete in October. Thanks to The Grid, athletes are coming  from as far as Australia just to compete on our beautiful little island.

The Grid, in collaboration with The Stars Group, raised over €7,000 for charity during the June event

Which was donated to Puttinu Cares and Inspire, a pair of fantastic organisations who do great work in Malta’s local communities. A global leader in the online gaming, mobile gaming and interactive entertainment industries, The Stars Group has become one of the The Grid’s strongest supporters and sponsors.

On the 19th of October, thousands of people will gather at Golden Bay to tackle The Sprint

From professional athletes and fitness fans to those challenging themselves to try something new, they’ll face a 6km obstacle course and attempt to crush it in as quick as they can. If you think you’ll be able to conquer The Sprint, or if  you just want to give it a try, you can sign up and purchase your tickets here.

Not only will you be challenging yourself and mastering an amazing physical feat, but you will also be helping a few local charities out!

Good luck to all of you taking on The Sprint this October, we know you’ll smash it.
