Talking Tech: Female Empowerment Through Diversity And Inclusion

Women in tech? Let’s talk about gender gaps, breaking barriers and celebrating women in tech through diversity and inclusion. You have a unique voice and you should embrace that! 

Cultivating a diverse, inclusive workforce is a process that lies at the heart of the business’s ambitions.

In this female-focused month, where we celebrate the progress we have made towards gender equality, the NeoGames group has highlighted the contribution women have made – not only in their company, but across the iGaming industry in general.

Their belief, which is shared across the Aspire Global, NeoGames, BtoBet and Pariplay divisions, is that being committed to diversity serves two key purposes.

First, by bringing together a variety of cultural backgrounds, perspectives and skills, we are able to harness new ways of thinking that drive innovation.

Second, it is an indicator of a fully functioning recruitment process, where personal preferences, culture, gender or physical disabilities are no barrier to professional success.

Their goal is for everyone to have an opportunity to succeed in a nurturing environment that makes employees feel valued.

There are 43 different nationalities within the NeoGames group. 

For International Women’s Day earlier this month, they took part in a photo campaign with the hashtag #EmbraceEquity, posting images showcasing their diverse and inclusive workforce as they embrace diversity and inclusivity within the Group.

This month, they were proud to partner up with SHE Malta in organising workshops around the theme of female entrepreneurship, held in partnership with the Chamber of SME Malta. Taking place at the beautiful venue of Palazzo Parisio, it was designed to bring together women from across the business community to discuss issues related to diversity and inclusion. 

The Director of HR, Ruby Muscat, discussed how technology businesses can create a more diverse and inclusive workforce, particularly in STEM roles where there is an ongoing gender gap.

“We believe that true inclusivity is not only desirable, but essential,” Muscat said. “In an ultra-competitive world, we have to bring in talent from all backgrounds so that we can incorporate fresh ways of thinking that will drive business growth through innovation. Standing still is not an option.” 

One of the key themes was female empowerment and Aspire Global were proud to be part of an initiative that supported women in business. By providing women from the business community with a platform to share their experiences, they hoped to inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders. 

Events like these are crucial for creating a more diverse and inclusive business community. By working together, we can create a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
