The Most Hilarious ‘Laughter @45 After’ Clips That Helped Make Our Mornings Way Better
For many people, the morning drive to work is not the most exciting one. Between the early morning sleepiness and the standstill traffic jams, a pick-me-up would definitely be amazing.
XFM 100.2’s Big Breakfast with Oz & Jay plan to do just that, the daily Laughter @45 After segment, a short (and hilarious) clip from popular standup comedy shows played at 7.45 and 8:45 in the morning to cheer people up. Simply getting to the clip is already funny, what with Oz and Jay‘s constant banter and their nearly never making it on time.
Here are six hilarious clips which have single-handedly saved the dullest of mornings.
1. Eddie Izzard: Star Wars Cantina
Having a comedian make fun of something as famous (and sacred to some) as Star Wars and Darth Vader is always amazing, but when it’s Eddie Izzard and his typically eccentric antics, you know you’re in for a treat.
2. Bill Burr: Mums Have The Hardest Jobs In The World
Slightly sexist? Sure, but Bill Burr was always one of those people who was so brutally honest, you couldn’t help but chuckle along.
3. Jim Gaffigan: Seafood
Gaffigan might’ve been talking about Boston, but what with Malta’s obsession with seafood (and lobsters in particular), he might as well have been talking about us!
4. Wanda Sykes: Gay v.s. Black
Two taboo topics for the price of one; Wanda Sykes tells it like is, with a healthy dose of sarcasm that far too many Maltese people know all too well.
5. Jim Jeffries: Gun Control
We in Malta might not really relate with the issue of gun control, but Jeffries’ example of Australian people’s laid back and submissive mentality and how it’s very different to the States is sure to strike a chord back at home.
6. Louis CK: Monopoly With Daughters
The grumpy old man himself talks about a singular experience we’ve all had; being old enough to play Monopoly with our family, but being too young to actually understand the emotional implications of losing everything you’ve been working on for the last couple of hours.
